SpudRoc-15 was held on Saturday, May 8 at the Swan Falls launch site and was a great success. Vern Knowles, club prefect, stated "Anyone that decided to skip the launch by looking at the weather in the morning missed a good launch." While the day started out with clouds and wind, the clouds eventually thinned out, and the day became mostly sunny with light winds. The club launched a total of 51 rockets -- 33 model rockets and 18 high power.

Vern also wrote in his launch update about several members achieving new certifications:

1. Brian Carlson certified level-1 on a Kosdon H155 in his Aerotech Strong Arm.

2. Dean Klein certified level-1 on an Aerotech I211W in his scratch built "Red One" rocket.

3. David Hassinger certified level-1 on an Aerotech I600R in his scratch built "Slightly Shorter
Bob". He then passed the level-2 written test with a prefect score and then launched the same
rocket on an Aerotech J500 Mojave Green for a successful level-2 certification!!

4. Corey Morasch certified level-3 on an Aerotech M1500 Mojave Green motor in his Gryphon reaching
12,876 feet. This was also the highest flight of the day.

Well done guys!! These were all great flights! Congratulations.
