Our launch on Saturday, May 22 has been scrubbed due to weather. The forecast has taken a significant turn for the worse. The national weather service is now predicting a 70% chance of showers on Saturday morning with 17-20 mph winds at the launch site. It's going to be a cold, wet and blustery day. The high temperature on Saturday is also expected to set a new record low for this time of year.
We are NOT rescheduling the launch for next Saturday since that is the Memorial Day weekend and many people already have other plans. Therefore, our next launch will be June 5.
With all the rain and cold weather that we have had this spring will make it very likely we can keep having launches in June. Our waiver runs until June 19. Of course it will depend on the fire danger situation, but the way things are going right now it seems like we have a pretty good chance of being able to fly then. If so, that should give us two really nice days left in our spring season. That being June 5 and June 19.
