Our June 19th launch, one of our latest spring launches ever, concludes this year's spring launch season.  Unfortunately, fire weather danger prevents us from using our launch site until cooler temperatures return in October.  Until then there are still several regional launches that TIR members will be attending.  In July, Oregon Rocketry will have their Desert Heat launch on 7/16 through 7/18, and Desert Extreme on 8/13-8/15.  Several members are also planning to attend the annual pilgrimage to the Blackrock desert of northwest Nevada for the annual XPRS launch.  This launch sponsored by Aero-Pac features an international student competition called CANSAT, as well as experimental launch days, and four days of commercial launches with an FAA waiver to 100,000' AGL.  This is a great opportunity to experience the Blackrock Playa, one of the best rocket venues in the world, and see some really interesting "extreme" projects.  Come to one of the club meetings to learn more about these regional launches.
